Sydney Sailing was established and launched in 2002 and was run out of the Manly Yacht Club offering an upmarket luxury sailing experience for not only corporate clients, but for local socialites looking for that 5 star experience and a glimpse into how the other half live. This experience was offered by way of a beautiful 44 foot Bavaria, an extravagant German built yacht.

In 2003 Sydney Sailing took the next step and began offering whale watching trips outside the Sydney Heads on the same luxury sailing yacht which proved to be a big success. For a per person fee, people could experience the luxury of an expensive sailing yacht combined with the thrill of seeing natures largest mammals. Sydney Sailing was the first company to offer whale watching cruises on an intimate luxury yacht, as opposed to a large motor boat holding many passengers, and is still one of the only companies to do so.

In 2009 Sydney Sailing had well outgrown its Northern Beaches location and with most of its clientele being city based, Sydney Sailing chose to move its operations into the city. Sydney Sailing now operates an even more extravagant yacht, the Megan Elyse, a 47.3 foot French built Beneteau, which lives opposite Sydney’s Luna Park in the tranquil Lavender Bay, ready for any CBD pick up.

Offering chartered cruises to corporate clientele for a social day on the water enjoying fine food and drinks and/or a team building experience setting the sails as well as to groups of families and friends, Sydney Sailing aims to provide a luxurious and unique experience to anyone wishing to enjoy the magnificent spoils of Sydney Harbour.

Take the wheel, trim the sails, or simply relax before enjoying a swim at one of the many nearby beaches. Sydney Sailing is also one of the only companies offering a 3 hour harbour cruise which has been hugely successful with our corporate clientele.
